Putin's ratings soar for 2nd straight week against backdrop of Russian special military operation in Ukraine

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - The proportion of Russians approving of President Vladimir Putin's job performance has risen to 74.6% from 64.3% during the week preceding the launch of the special military operation in Ukraine (February 14-20) and 70.4% the following week, according to the findings of a VCIOM poll obtained by Interfax on Friday.

Putin's confidence rating was up to 77.4% from 67.2% and 73%, respectively, the pollster said.

The nationwide survey was held by doing daily interviews with 1,600 respondents aged 18 and over on February 28 - March 6.
