Peskov on Golos website blocking: Regulator acts in strict compliance with law

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor), which has blocked the website of the Golos Movement for Defense of Voters' Rights (designated as an unregistered foreign-agent civil organization in Russia) and the websites of some other human rights organizations, has been acting in strict compliance with the law, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"After all, the regulator is acting in strict compliance with the law. It functions on the basis of the law. There is a law, and it is being implemented in this manner," Peskov said.

Roskomnadzor blocked the websites of Golos, the For Human Rights movement and some others on Friday.
