Russia's withdrawal from Council of Europe should be initiated in short order - Duma's Slutsky

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Russia should initiate its withdrawal from the Council of Europe, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky said.

"I believe we should declare a crystal-clear collegial stance on Russia's withdrawal from the Council of Europe this year and initiate the respective interstate procedures in short order," Slutsky said at a plenary meeting of the State Duma on Friday.
