Meta activity must be stopped if calls for violence against Russians are actually allowed - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - If Meta has actually allowed calls for violence against Russians in its social networks, resolute measures must be taken to put an end to its activity, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Western media said that such calls had been allowed by Meta amid the Ukraine situation, and journalists asked Peskov on Friday to comment on these reports.

"The information needs to be studied very closely and confirmed. I do not want to take Reuters' word for it, because it is hard to imagine that this is possible. But of course, I am sure that our respective agencies will find out whether this is true, let us hope this is not so. Because if it is, the most resolute measures need to be taken to put an end to the activity of this company," Peskov said.
