Golos movement website blocked in Russia

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has blocked the website of the Golos Movement for Defense of Voters' Rights, which is designated as an unregistered foreign-agent civil association by the Russian Justice Ministry.

According to the agency's universal service for verification of website and webpage blockings, access to the golosinfo.org website will be restricted in Russia consistent with the Russian Prosecutor General's Office order dated March 9.

Founded in 2000, Golos is engaged in training and organizing independent observation of elections in Russia. It was one of the first entities designated as a foreign-agent NGO in 2013 and continued its operations without establishing a legal entity.
