Shoigu decorates servicemen who distinguished themselves during Ukraine operation with awards

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has decorated Russian servicemen who distinguished themselves in the special military operation in Ukraine with state awards.

"State awards have been bestowed on all of the servicemen by an executive order of Russian President Vladimir Putin," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

Shoigu decorated one serviceman with the Hero of Russia star, and another with the Order of Courage. Ten servicemen were decorated with the Medal of Valor, the ministry said.

The ceremony took place at the Mandryk Central Military Clinical Hospital.
