Shoigu proposes giving seized Ukrainian Javelin and Stinger systems to DPR, LPR

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Russia is ready to hand over seized Ukrainian weapons, including Javelin and Stinger systems, to the forces of the Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR) People's Republics, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"We have amassed piles of Ukrainian weapons: tanks, armored vehicles and all types of small arms, quite a lot of them, artillery. Apart from them, there are lots of Javelin and Stinger systems," Shoigu said at President Vladimir Putin's meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.

"There is a proposal to give them to the Luhansk and Donetsk republics, to the militia, so that they can defend their republics more efficiently," he said.
