Russia to strengthen its western borders - Shoigu

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Russia is planning to strengthen its western borders, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The General Staff is drafting and has practically drafted a plan aimed at strengthening our western borders, naturally, by means of the new, modern systems and redeployment of military units to protect our western border," Shoigu told Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council.
