Temporary closure of Krasnodar, Anapa airports extended until March 20

KRASNODAR. March 11 (Interfax) - The aviation authorities have extended the temporary closure of the Krasnodar and Anapa airports until March 20, the airport operator's press service said in a statement.

"The aviation authorities have extended temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures at the Krasnodar and Anapa airports until 3:45 a.m. Moscow time on March 20, 2022. The airspace in the northwestern part of the Krasnodar Territory is considered unsafe for civil aircraft and passengers. Please contact airlines to exchange or return your tickets and reschedule your flights," the statement said.

Flights are possible from the airports of Sochi, Stavropol and Mineralnye Vody, which can be reached by car, bus or train, it said.

The Sochi Airport, a temporary hub for residents and visitors of the Krasnodar Territory, is operating as usual.

It was reported earlier that approximately ten airports, including those in Krasnodar and Anapa, were closed until March 14.
