Ukraine stops buying Russian nuclear fuel

KYIV. March 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine has declared a complete halt of the procurement of nuclear fuel from Russia.

"Energoatom fully stops buying Russian nuclear fuel," Energoatom said on Telegram on Friday.

A few months ago, Energoatom said it might agree on an increased delivery of fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants with the U.S. fuel manufacturer Westinghouse if necessary.
