Armenian units fire at Azerbaijani military positions on border - Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry

BAKU. March 11 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani military positions in various sectors again came under fire opened by the Armenian Armed Forces and Armenian illegal armed units present in Russian peacekeepers' temporary responsibility zone in the Karabakh region, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said.

"From 7:45 p.m. on March 10 to 8:35 a.m. on March 11, Armenian illegal armed formations present in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily deployed, fired small arms of various calibers at the Azerbaijani army's positions in the Fizuli, Khojavent, Aghdam, and Khojaly districts," the Defense Ministry said.

Apart from that, Armenian Armed Forces units positioned in the localities of Zarkand, Ashagi Shorzha and Azizli of the Basarkechar district on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border opened fire on Azerbaijani army positions in the localities of Yellija, Barmagbina and Yukhari Ayrim in the Kalbajar district, it said.

"Units of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan took appropriate measures in the aforementioned sectors. No losses among our army's personnel and military hardware were sustained," the ministry said.
