Russian embassy to U.S.: Meta's actions are yet another evidence of info war without rules declared on Russia

WASHINGTON. March 11 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy in Washington has expressed its outrage at Meta Platforms' policy, which the embassy said leads to incitement of hostility toward Russians.

"Meta's aggressive and criminal policy leading to incitement of hatred and hostility towards Russians causes our outrage. The company's actions are yet another evidence of the information war without rules declared on our country. Media corporations have become soldiers of the propaganda machine of the Western ruling circles. We demand that the American authorities stop the extremist activities of Meta and take measures to hold those responsible for it to account," the Russian embassy to the U.S. said in a commentary in response to Meta Platforms' "extremist" activity.

"Users of Facebook and Instagram did not vest the management of these Internet platforms with the right to determine the criteria of truth and to pit peoples against other peoples," it said.
