Russian Defense Ministry says Ukrainian authorities refuse to permit evacuation of residents to Russia

MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian authorities have opposed the evacuation of the urban population through humanitarian corridors to Russia, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Kyiv is still categorically prohibiting and refuses to authorize the departure of civilian residents in the direction of the Russian Federation," head of Russia's National Defense Control Center Mikhail Mizintsev said on Thursday.
