West hurt itself more than Roscosmos by sanctions - Roscosmos CEO

MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - Western countries hurt themselves more than the Russian space industry with sanctions, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said.

Rogozin earlier said the damage to the company OneWeb, whose satellites Roscosmos has refused to launch, will reach some $8 billion. The damage done to the U.S. due to the refusal of Russian rocket engine supply will be some $4 billion, he said.

"The retaliation by Roscosmos alone is now worth 12 billion. The damage they have inflicted on us is much less," Rogozin said at a meeting with deputies of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) faction. A video of the meeting was released by the party's press service.
