Russian troops train assistance to wounded during drill in Transdniestria

MOSCOW. March 10 (Interfax) - Officers and senior specialists of the medical service of the Russian operative group of forces in the Transdniestrian region of Moldova have trained assistance to the injured, the Western Military District's press service said on Thursday.

"Military medics trained urgent assistance given on the battlefield to patients with bone fractures and bleeds of various degrees of severity, as well as transportation of the wounded by improvised means and suspension systems in the course of evacuation from military vehicles and hard-to-reach areas," the press service said.

It was a planned exercise, it said.
