Belarusian servicemen won't take part in fighting outside Belarus - Defense Ministry

MINSK. March 10 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Defense Ministry has reaffirmed that Belarus' Armed Forces tackle missions exclusively within the borders of their country.

"We, all [Belarusian] servicemen, are in our home country and tackle the sole mission to ensure the security of our country. We did it before, are doing it now and will do it in the future. No matter how much someone tries to come up with any insinuations, there will not be any of them," the Belarusian Defense Ministry's Telegram channel quoted Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin as saying after a meeting with the Belarusian president in Minsk on Thursday.

"I want to repeat once again the message that was sent by the head of state when the referendum results were endorsed: we will struggle, we will fight and will die on our soil. For us, it sounds like a mission," Khrenin said.
