Lavrov: I don't want to believe that nuclear war could start

ANTALYA. March 10 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he does not want to believe in the possibility that a nuclear war could start.

"I don't want to believe it and I don't believe it," Lavrov said during a press conference.

The "nuclear issue" in the context of the Ukraine events "has been thrown into the discourse" solely by representatives of the West, in particular, NATO, he said.

"Liz Truss said she did not rule out a conflict between NATO and Russia. How could such a thing come to a person's head?" the minister said.

The fact that the West is constantly going back to the issue of nuclear war raises red flags, he said.
