Intelligence spots mercenaries in Ukraine, near Belarusian border - Lukashenko

MINSK. March 10 (Interfax) - Intelligence has spotted mercenaries in the Ukrainian territory, near the Belarusian border, the Belarusian state-run news agency BelTA quoted President Alexander Lukashenko as saying at a meeting with Belarusian Defense Ministry heads in Minsk on Thursday.

"What should be our biggest concern - I would like to draw your attention, primarily, attention of the head of our special ops forces - we have always feared the presence of mercenaries in neighboring countries, especially in Ukraine. Our intelligence, by the way the information comes from several sources, has spotted such mercenaries, who are not crossing the Belarusian border, must be afraid to do so, but are moving along the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the direction of Chernobyl," Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian president ordered that the military and border guards prevent border trespassing. "We must see them, primarily, using your capacities," Lukashenko said.
