Over 43,000 evacuated from Sumy to Lubny - Poltava regional military administration head

KYIV. March 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) - More than 43,000 people have been successfully evacuated from Sumy to Lubny, head of the Poltava regional military administration Dmytro Lunin said.

"They have left by bus and by private vehicle. Three convoys have arrived in Lubny from where passengers took a train to the country's west. Those who chose to stay in the Poltava region have been provided with accommodation," the administration press service quoted Lunin as saying.

Deputy head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said earlier that about 48,000 people had been evacuated through humanitarian passages in Ukraine.
