Roskomnadzor demands TikTok lift restrictions on video of Russian president's address

MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - Russia's telecommunications watchdog Roskomnadzor has demanded that the management of TikTok immediately lift restrictions on a video of Russian President Vladimir Putin's address and explain why they were imposed, the service said.

According to the agency, TikTok restricted access to the audio track of the aforementioned video for foreign users.

"Roskomnadzor said in its letter that such actions by the management of the social network ultimately violate the key principles of the free circulation of information and unhindered access to it," the service said.
