Russia anticipated various sets of sanctions, carefully prepared for them - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - Russia has analyzed a variety of different packages of sanctions over the operation in Ukraine and started preparing in advance to minimize their effects, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"We have said repeatedly that, actually, the sanctions were anticipated. And various sets of sanctions were carefully analyzed and reviewed in advance," Peskov told journalists on Wednesday.

"And preparations for minimizing effects from such different sets of sanctions were also started in advance," he said.
