MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - The State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation approved an amendment to the so-called Dima Yakovlev Law on Wednesday to envisage the creation of a unified register of individuals who are either designated as foreign agents or are related to foreign agents.

According to the amendment, the Russian Justice Ministry will keep a unified register of individuals designated as foreign agents or affiliated with entities designated as foreign agents.

The unified register will consist of individuals designated as foreign agents or included in the register of foreign-agent outlets, and workers or members of foreign-agent NGOs or foreign-agent civil organizations. The founders, heads and employees of foreign-agent media outlets designated as foreign agents will also be included in the register, the document said.

Persons engaged in political activities and receiving money or assets from foreign agents for their services may also be included in the register.
