Russian Interior Ministry denies police check personal correspondence of people in street

MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Interior Ministry has denied media reports alleging that police are checking personal correspondence in messengers.

"Reports alleging that police officers stop people on the streets and in the metro to check personal correspondence in messengers are untrue," ministry spokesperson Irina Volk told Interfax.
