Sandra Stash leaves Evraz board

MOSCOW. March 9 (Interfax) - Evraz independent director Sandra Stash has stepped down from the Russian steel and mining company's board of directors, the company said.

Stash, who served as vice president of Tullow Oil until 2020 and a vice president at BP Plc for eight years, was elected to Evraz's board in the summer of 2021. Her decision to step down follows the March 3 departure of John Rutherford.

Evraz's board has now shrunk to 11 directors from 13. The independent directors on the board are former Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenblau executive Karl Gruber; Deborah Gudgeon, a senior advisor at consulting firm Penfida Ltd; former M.Video-Eldorado CEO Alexander Izosimov; Sir Michael Peat, the former personal secretary of the prince of Wales; Maria Gordon, who joined the company on February 1; and Stephen Odell, who served as vice president of Ford Motor until 2018 and previously chaired the board of Ford Sollers .

Evraz is a major vertically integrated steel and mining company and one of the largest producers of vanadium in the world. The company's largest shareholder is Roman Abramovich with 28.64%; Alexander Abramov controlled 19.32% through Abiglaze Ltd., Alexander Frolov controls 9.65% through Crosland Global Ltd., Gennady Kozovoi owns 5.74% and Maxim Vorobyov holds 3.01% of shares.
