LPR reports deaths of 7 civilians in attacks since Feb 17

LUHANSK. March 9 (Interfax) - There have been almost 700 attacks of the Ukrainian military on the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) since February 17; seven civilians have been killed, and another eight have suffered injuries, the LPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

"Over the past three weeks, from February 17 to March 8, the LPR mission to the JCCC recorded 693 attacks on the republic's territory by Ukrainian armed formations using heavy weapons (rocket launchers, artillery systems and mortars)," the mission said.

The Ukrainian attacks killed seven civilians and inflicted injuries on eight, the mission said. In addition, the Ukrainian gunfire damaged 195 homes, while Ukrainian missile strikes by a Tochka-U tactical system damaged an oil storage facility in Rovenki and an oil terminal in Luhansk, the mission said.

"Damage was done to 29 elements of civilian infrastructure," it said.
