DPR assumes control over Mariupol's Osaviakhim neighborhood - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 8 (Interfax) - The forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have established control over the Osaviakhim neighborhood in Mariupol, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Units of the People's Militia of the Donetsk People's Republic have established control over the Osaviakhim neighborhood in Mariupol," Konashenkov told a briefing on Tuesday.

The troops of the Luhansk People's Republics (LPR) have advanced another nine kilometers, he said.

"The group of troops of the Luhansk People's Republic, continuing its offensive, took under its control the populated areas of Borsonino, Kreminna, Pishchane, Varvarivka, Pshenichne, Yepifanivka, Novodruzhesk, and Bilogorivka," Konashenkov said.
