Fire conducted by Ukrainian troops kills 26, injures 139 civilians in Donetsk People's Republic in past 19 days - DPR mission to JCCC

DONETSK. March 8 (Interfax) - The territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has come under attack almost 900 times in the past 19 days; 26 civilians have been killed and 139, nine of whom are children, injured over the period, the DPR mission to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.

"Over the past 19 days of escalation, 889 instances of Ukrainian armed units opening fire have been recorded. Of them, 750 involved use of heavy weapons. In total, the adversary has fired 10,237 munitions of various calibers," the DPR mission said in a statement on Monday.

As many as 26 civilians have been killed and another 139, including nine children, injured as a result of hostilities in the republic, the mission said.
