DPR military reach Ukraine's Zaporizhzhya border - Basurin

DONETSK. March 7 (Interfax) - The forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have reached the border of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhya region and seized three more settlements, DPR militia spokesman Eduard Basurin said

"Over the course of their successful advances DPR militia units reached the border of the Zaporizhzhya region and installed control over the settlements of Azov, Rozovka and Myrne," Basurin told journalists on Monday.

Since midnight the DPR had come under 26 enemy attacks "with 122mm BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 122mm howitzers and 120mm and 82mm mortar launcher," he said.

He gave no official figures for the dead and injured in the attacks.

In total, Ukraine's army losses have amounted to 600 dead and over 700 injured since the operation began, he said.

"Since the launch of the special military operation the Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses have been as follows: 95th Separate Guards Air Assault Brigade, 35 dead and 78 injured; 25th Separate Air Brigade, 46 dead and 66 injured; 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade, 59 dead and 87 injured; 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 89 dead and 112 injured; 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, 189 dead, including the commander, and 195 injured; 36th Separate Guards Naval Infantry Brigade, 173 dead and 186 injured," Basurin said.
