Lavrov, Iranian FM discuss restoration of JCPOA, Syria, and Ukraine
MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - A phone conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian took place on Monday on the Iranian side's initiative, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The main attention was given to the restoration of full-fledged implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for the Iranian nuclear program in the context of the continuing talks in Vienna. It was emphasized that restoring the JCPOA should ensure equal rights of all parties to it as regards unimpeded development of cooperation in all areas without any discrimination," according to a report posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry site.
Besides, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry's information, there was an exchange of opinions on a number of vital issues regional and international issues, "including Syrian settlement and the situation in Ukraine."
