Russian Defense Ministry denies accusations against Russian army of ceasefire breaches in Ukraine

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - Kyiv officials continue accusing the Russian Armed Forces allegedly for failure to observe the promised ceasefire, Russian National Defense Control Center head Mikhail Mizintsev said.

"Kyiv is also [...] impudently lying to representatives of the embassies of foreign states in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odesa and other cities about the non-observance by the Russian side of the conditions for ensuring the safety of humanitarian corridors," Mizintsev told a briefing on Monday.

"It's an open provocation, lie and deceit," he said.

The Russian agency is working with international organizations to make Kyiv fulfil the humanitarian obligations outlined in the Geneva convention, Mizintsev said.

"We now continue working intensively on this matter with all interested persons, and today, like never before, we encourage the UN, the OSCE, the International Committee of the Red Cross to use the entire power, the entire potential of your organizations to make representatives of the criminal Kyiv authorities fulfil the humanitarian obligations outlined in the Geneva convention," Mizintsev said.
