Moscow records 1,542 new cases of Covid-19, incidence declining for 5th straight day - monitoring center

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - The city of Moscow has recorded 1,542 new confirmed cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, according to the website of the Information Center for Monitoring the Coronavirus Situation.

On Sunday, the city reported 1,901 new cases of Covid-19. Hence, the number of daily cases has declined over the past 24 hours by 359, or by 18%.

As many as 216 patients with coronavirus have been hospitalized in Moscow.

Daily cases of coronavirus have been declining in Moscow for the fifth day in a row.

Sixty-eight people with coronavirus have died in Moscow over the past 24 hours, bringing the coronavirus-related death toll in the city to 41,822.

Another 2,415 patients earlier diagnosed with coronavirus have recovered, bringing the total number of related recoveries to 2,508,951.

On Sunday, Moscow recorded 75 coronavirus-related deaths and 2,338 recoveries.

The overall number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Moscow as of March 7 reached 2,712,483.
