Power equipment manufacturers can produce almost entire range of equipment for Russia's energy sector - Industry and Trade Ministry

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - The technological level of domestic manufacturers of turbine and boiler equipment and electrical machinery meets the highest world standards and allows for producing almost the entire range of products for the power industry in the country, the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said in a press release following a meeting with representatives of power engineering enterprises.

"The Russian industry is ready to ensure the continuity of technological processes of power equipment production, as we have the expertise required for this. We stand ready to accelerate the abandonment of imports of these products where it still remains," Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov is quoted in the statement as saying.

"At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is willing to continue constructive business relations with interested and honest foreign companies, as well as to fulfill all previously assumed obligations. At the same time, organizations planning to leave the Russian market will not be able to provoke a disaster in the industry, as today Russia has the necessary technologies and competences, as well as enterprises specializing in the development and replacement of the relevant products," the Industry and Trade Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that the high-capacity gas turbines GTE-65, GTE-170 and GTE-110M would be supplied and integrated into the country's unified power grid by the end of 2024.
