Russian regions increase number of temporary accommodation sites for refugees from Ukraine to 9,000 - interagency hq

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - All necessary conditions to receive refugees from Ukraine have been created in Russia; foreign citizens will be transported back to their home countries, the interagency coordination headquarters for humanitarian response to the situation in Ukraine said on Sunday.

"All necessary conditions to receive refugees have been created in the Russian Federation. Recreation rooms have been set up in checkpoints and temporary accommodation facilities, hot food is provided, mobile medical facilities have been deployed, logistics for travelling to Russia's regions has been organized, and foreign citizens could be transported to their home countries," the headquarters said.

The number of temporary accommodation facilities has increased to 9,000 in Russia's regions. All of them are ready for individual work with citizens arriving from Ukraine," it said.
