Kyiv tried to urgently conceal traces of military biological program funded by U.S. Defense Dept - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - Facts of the urgent concealment by the regime in Kyiv of the traces of a military biological program funded by the United States Department of Defense and implemented in Ukraine were exposed during the special military operation, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Sunday.

"We have obtained documents from employees of Ukrainian bio laboratories that the especially dangerous pathogens of plague, anthrax, Tularemia, cholera and other deadly diseases were urgently destroyed on February 24," Konashenkov said.

"Russian expert of the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops are now analyzing the documents," he said.

"It is obvious that since the special military operation has begun, the Pentagon has developed serious concerns about the disclosure of information about its secret biological experiments in the territory of Ukraine. The obtained documents confirm that components of biological weapons were developed in Ukrainian bio laboratories in close proximity from the territory of Russia," he said.

"In order to prevent the disclosure of the facts about the United States and Ukraine's violations of the Article I of the United Nations Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, the Ukrainian Health Ministry ordered all bio laboratories to destroy their inventories of dangerous pathogens urgently," Konashenkov said.

The Russian Defense Ministry will soon present the findings of the analysis of these documents, he said. "We're publishing part of them, namely the Ukrainian Health Ministry's order to destroy the pathogens and certificates of their destruction at the Poltava and Kharkiv bio laboratories, right now," he said.
