Three participants in unsanctioned rally in St. Petersburg attack policemen

ST. PETERSBURG. March 6 (Interfax) - Three participants in an unsanctioned protest have attacked police officers in the Admiralteisky district of St. Petersburg, the local branch of the Russian Interior Ministry told Interfax on Sunday.

"While preventing unlawful acts during the unsanctioned rally on March 6, police officers were attacked by its participants," it said.

Three activists were detained and the third one has fled. "He has been identified, measures are being taken to detain him," the police said.

A criminal case of using violence against a policeman has been opened.
