Power equipment manufacturers can produce almost entire spectrum for energy sector domestically in Russia - ministry

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - The technological level of domestic manufactures of power turbine and boiler equipment, and power machines meets the highest world standards and makes it possible to produce domestically almost the entire product line for the energy sector, the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said in a press release following a meeting with power engineering industry managers.

"The Russian industry is ready to ensure uninterrupted technological processes for power equipment manufacturing. We possess necessary competences for this. We are ready to fast-track the movement away from importing these products, where they are still being imported," the ministry's statement quoted Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov as saying.
