U.S. State Secretary Blinken promises further assistance to Ukraine

CHISINAU. March 6 (Interfax) - The United States will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

"Over the past year, we've provided more than a billion dollars in security assistance to Ukraine, more than in any single previous year," Blinken said in a press conference that he attended together with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Chisinau on Sunday.

The U.S. will further provide assistance to Ukraine, he said.

"We are actively looking now at the question of the airplanes that Poland may provide to Ukraine," he said.

However, Blinken once again called for peace.
