Eight Ukrainian aircraft, 2 helicopters, 6 drones downed - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - The Russian military has said they have shot down eight Ukrainian aircraft and two helicopters over the past day.

"Over the past 24 hours, the fighter aircraft and the Air Defense Troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces downed four Sukhoi Su-27 and one MiG-29 fighter aircraft near Zhytomyr, Su-27 and Su-25 fighter aircraft near Radomyshl, one Su-25 fighter aircraft near Nezhyn, two Mil Mi-8 helicopters near Kyiv and six drones, including the Bayraktar TB-2," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.
