Lukashenko about sanctions: We can bear with this for a year

MINSK. March 6 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said he believes the countries that have imposed sanctions on Minsk and Moscow will "apologize and beg for cooperating" over time.

"You see these crazy sanctions in Europe against Russia, and we've been added there for company. So that Russia could not circumvent the sanctions via Belarus. Well, what can you say? Cats can take some rest," Lukashenko said at a ski competition at the Raubichi ski center outside Minsk on Saturday.

A video fragment of Lukashenko's statement was published by the First-Man's Pool Telegram channel close to the Belarusian presidential press service.

A lot of Belarusian projects are being implemented in Russia with the latter's active support, Lukashenko said.

"We'll bear with this for a year, and then you'll see - they'll come to us to apologize and beg for cooperating with them," he said.
