U.S. Embassy in Moscow spokesperson Rebholz steps down from his post

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Jason Rebholz, spokesperson for the United States Embassy in Moscow, has left Russia, the embassy told Interfax on Saturday.

"That's correct. Jason has departed post," newly appointed embassy spokesperson Jennifer Palmer told Interfax.

In January 27, employees of the Russian Embassy in the U.S. had to depart Washington, D.C., in accordance with the requirement of the State Department. Another 28 people must leave the U.S. by June 30, 2022.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in early February that the number of the diplomatic staff of the embassy is continuing to decrease in accordance with the requirements of the Russian side.
