Several more settlements in Ukraine taken under control - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Russian troops have taken under control seven more Ukrainian settlements; the military of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have moved seven kilometers forward, the Russian Defense Ministry's spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said.

"Units of the Russian Armed forces are advancing as a wide front and have taken control over populated areas of Mala Tokmachka, Marfopil, Remivka, Novokarlivka, Orlinske, Volodine and Malynivka," Konashenkov told a briefing on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the troops of the Luhansk People's Republic continued to advance and took hold of the settlements of Golikove, Nevske and Katerynivka, he said.

"Units of the DPR armed forces took control over the populated areas of Zachativka, Khlibodarivka, Novotatarivka, Zatishya and Myrne. They advanced seven kilometers," the spokesperson said.
