Putin: Volunteers' assistance during special operation in Ukraine not needed

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - The assistance of volunteers during the special operation in Ukraine is not needed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"As for volunteers and those young people coming to military enlistment offices, we are grateful to them for this patriotic impulse and wishes to support the country, support the Armed Forces. The fact itself that they are coming already matters. But their assistance is not needed so far," Putin said at a meeting with women from the flight crews of Russian airlines.

"And I am confident that it will not be needed," he said.

The president addressed volunteers and thanked them for their readiness to help.
