More than 1,000 Kazakh freight cars stuck in Ukraine

ALMATY. March 5 (Interfax) - As many as 1,007 railroad freight cars owned by Kazakh carriers have got stuck in Ukraine, Kazakhstan's Industry and Infrastructure Development Ministry said in a statement.

"According to the latest information, a total of 1,007 freight cars owned by Kazakh companies are stranded in Ukraine on March 5, 2022," the statement says.

The transportation of another 680 freight cars carrying various cargoes in the direction of Ukraine was suspended; 371 of those cars were redirected to other destinations on March 4, according to the statement.
