Ukraine receiving thousands of tonnes of humanitarian aid every day - Social Policy Ministry

KYIV. March 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine has received 3,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Social Policy Minister Maryna Lazebna said.

"We have streamlined all possible procedures for suppliers and recipients of humanitarian aid to make sure it arrives promptly. The customs and logistics warehouses are working hard. Regional military-civilian administrations and coordination headquarters have developed algorithms of work with humanitarian aid," the Social Policy Ministry said in a statement.

The volumes of humanitarian aid received by Ukraine have been growing from day to day, with 2,500 tonnes having arrived on March 3 and 3,500 tonnes on March 4, it said.

"These include food, clothes, hygiene products, medicines and medical equipment, and other goods," it said.
