NATO aware of impossibility of its direct involvement in Ukraine events - Peskov

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - NATO member states are perfectly aware of the impossibility of their direct involvement in the Ukraine events, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"In this case, we can affirm that NATO member states are perfectly aware of the impossibility of direct involvement of NATO members in the current developments around Ukraine," Peskov said at a press briefing on Saturday, commenting on the criticism of NATO's stance in this situation by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky said on Friday he was disappointed with NATO's decision not to declare a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on the same day that all NATO members agreed that NATO forces should not be deployed to Ukraine.
