Russia to demonstrate defense products at exhibition in Saudi Arabia
MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Rosoboronexport will organize an exhibition of Russian defense industry products at the World Defense Show 2022 in Saudi Arabia, the company's press service said in a statement.
"Rosoboronexport is hoping to hold numerous talks with representatives of the military-political leadership and business community of Saudi Arabia and countries of the Middle East and North Africa in the course of the business program," the company said.
This is the first time Russian defense products will be put on display in Saudi Arabia, it said.
"More than 20 enterprises from the largest manufacturing holdings will demonstrate their products in the joint Russian exposition organized by Rosoboronexport at the World Defense Show 2022," the press service said.
The company will present models of the Ilyushin Il-76MD-90A military transport plane, the Mil Mi-28NE combat helicopter, the Orion-E attack and reconnaissance drone, the Karakurt-E-class corvette, the Amur 1650 diesel-electric submarine, and the upgraded Msta-S self-propelled howitzers with the 155mm caliber most popular in Saudi Arabia.
The exhibition will take place in Riyadh on March 6-9.
