Russian forces on broad-front offensive in Ukraine - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Russian forces are on a broad-front offensive in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Saturday.
"Such populated localities as Preobrazhenka, Komsomolske, Zahorne, Dorozhnyanka, Reshetylivske, Kostiantynivka, Shevchenko, Chubarevka, Proletarske and Liubymivka were taken under control over the past day," Konashenkov said.
"Forces of the Luhansk People's Republic continued the offensive with fire support from the Russian Armed Forces and reached the Bohuslavka - Telmakhovka - Kalynivka line," he said.
"Units of the armed forces of the Donetsk People's Republic advanced by 27 kilometers over the night. The populated localities of Novohryhorivka, Novomykolaivka, Vyshnyuvate, Vilne, Listvyanka and Antonivka were taken under control," Konashenkov said.
