Aeroflot denies media reports about resignation of CEO Poluboyarinov

MOSCOW. March 5 (Interfax) - Aeroflot has officially denied media reports that the company's CEO, Mikhail Poluboyarinov, has resigned.

"Aeroflot's CEO, Mikhail Poluboyarinov, is in Moscow and is fulfilling his official duties," the company's press service told Interfax.

The Kommersant newspaper reported earlier on Saturday that Poluboyarinov had resigned from his post at the beginning of the week, left the country and was out of touch for several days, the newspaper wrote, citing sources in the aviation industry and the government. Sergei Aleksandrovsky, CEO of the Rossiya subsidiary airline, had been appointed acting CEO of Aeroflot, the newspaper noted.
