Russian, Belarusian gymnasts banned from FIG competitions

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has decided to ban Russia and Belarus from its competitions beginning from March 7 over the Ukraine situation, the FIG stated on its website.

"Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials, including judges, are not allowed to take part in FIG competitions or FIG-sanctioned competitions from 7 March 2022 until further notice," the statement said.

That means that Russians and Belarusians will not participate in the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championship on March 10-13.
