Verkhovna Rada allows start of expropriation process of Russian property in Ukraine

KYIV. March 4 (Interfax) - The Verkhovna Rada allowed the start of the process of seizing the property and funds of the Russian Federation and its residents located on the territory of Ukraine, the Servant of the People party's press service said.

"The forced seizure of property and funds of the Russian Federation and its residents in Ukraine is carried out without any compensation for their value," the press service said on its Telegram channel.

The decision to seize objects of the property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents in Ukraine is made by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and is enacted by a decree issued by the Ukrainian president.
